Chairman of Gbaramatu Youth Development Association, Chief Michael Johnny, has faulted the ongoing negotiations between the federal government and the leaders of the Niger Delta region, insisting that the negotiators lack sincerity in their approach to the negotiation process.
Michael Johnny Johnny, who is a hard core supporter of the Muhammadu Buhari’s government, told NAIJ.com that he is yet to see the sincerity of the leaders who thronged to Abuja and had meetings with both President Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osibanjo on different occasions. He said if the leaders were sincere with their meetings, they would have cautioned the militants to halt bombing the oil installations, basing his argument on the strength of the bombing which occurred a few hours after the leaders meeting with President Buhari.
